Hi, My work permit from previous company has been cancelled, received a release letter, cancellation letter etc. and new work permit application is in process with my new employer. My question is do i need to cancel the residence permit issued from previous company? It will be expiring on June 23, 2020.

Hi Jay,
If your previous company didn’t cancel it then just don’t. Just try to get the new work permit and submit the application for the new residence permit by June 22nd.
More details: Once your new employer successfully gets your new work permit, new employer will ask you to go to the exit-entry bureau together to match your face to the passport ID page and submit the application for the new residence permit. The new residence permit will replace / cancel the old one automatically.
