I would like to know what is the current status of the 2 months automatic extension for US Citizens that need overstay status? How does that work? Do I need to apply or if I am US Citizen in Shanghai on 60 day multi entrée visa I can over stay by two months. My visa exit time is due this month.

For the 2 month automatic extension, it doesn’t matter which nationality you have.
