Hello, I am a student in one of the famous university in shanghai. My residence permit is valid till 30 April. Right now I am out of China and am wondering, how much earlier must I have to come back to China to start my residence permit extension procedure before its expiration. Thanks

30 days prior should be enough!! I think as long as you submit the application 2 weeks prior, it should be okay given the virus situation…
