Hi there, I was just wondering if the 60 days automatic extension still active till now? I got my Chinese Q2 visa 190 days on September of 2020 to visit my father in China. I entered China on 15th September 2020 and I can stay till 14th March 2021. Was just wondering if I am eligible for the 60 days automatic extension or not? Or its better for me to extend my Q2 visa before it expired? I would want to stay in China atm since the Covid case in Indonesia my home country is rising day by day.

Hi Kevin,
You’ll need to visit an exit-entry bureau(aka public security bureau PSB) to apply for an extension on your Q2 visa.
I just told that during the early days of the pandemic, because cities were in lockdown, people were not able to visit a PSB. Now that the virus is more or less under control in China, you’re expected to apply for extensions on your visa at a PSB.
